The following is the list of FAQs regarding the updates to the Go Rewards Terms and Conditions dated December 20, 2023:
1. What was updated in the Go Rewards Terms and Conditions as of December 20, 2023?
In our efforts to provide better lifestyle loyalty rewards experience through curated deals and perks, we’ve updated our Terms and Conditions, effective December 20, 2023.
To help you understand what’s changing, here’s an overview of the key updates:
-
- Go Rewards Membership Tiers
Go Rewards has two membership tiers: Classic Card and Black Card. Under the Classic Card Tier, members aged 60 years old and above may avail of the Lifeprime Card also known as the Go Rewards LifePrime Card, subject to the Terms and Conditions.
-
- Black Card Upgrade Process
Easy Black Card upgrade via Go Rewards app or participating physical stores.
-
- New Points Forfeiture Policy
Members must engage in at least one activity to earn and redeem points within a one-year period. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of accumulated points in their accounts.
-
- Account Closure Policy
It was stated in the earlier version of Terms & Conditions that members must engage in at least one (1) required activity within a period of three consecutive (3) years. Failure to do so would result to account closure, and unused Go Rewards points will be forfeited.
In this update, we've narrowed down the required activities to earning or redeeming Go Rewards points and gave clarity that the account closure will take place at the end of the month coinciding with the third year anniversary of the member's first day of inactivity.
To prevent any unintended loss of points or account closure, we highly encourage you to make any transaction in at least one of our partners (List of earn partners), whether it's earning or redeeming Go Rewards points, within the specified timeframes mentioned above.
We encourage you to review the updated Terms and Conditions on the Go Rewards website.
Your understanding and continued participation in the program are greatly appreciated. Thank you for being a valued member of Go Rewards.
2. Why are the Points Forfeiture Policy and Account Closure Policy in place?
With these policies in place, Go Rewards aims to:
-
- Encourage more active member engagement so that Go Rewards will be able to provide better and more personalized offers.
- Effectively secure and protect your personal information. Inactivity of a member for a period of three (3) years will result to account closure and personal data deletion, subject to our data retention policy. We do not retain personal data longer than necessary.
- Give you access to a range of newer and more appealing rewards, tailored to each member’s preferences, thereby enhancing their overall experience.
- Provide better services to be allocated to our active members, ensuring that rewards and benefits remain available for those actively engaging with the partners of the program.
