The following is the latest FAQ for the Go Rewards Pay feature of the Go Rewards App.
1. What does the termination of the Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid & Go Rewards Prepaid Card mean?
Starting January 15, 2024, the Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid and Go Rewards Prepaid Card, including the Pay feature in the Go Rewards app, will no longer be available and the Go Rewards account numbers associated with these financial products will be automatically closed. However, in accordance with the Prepaid Terms and Conditions (https://www.unionbankph.com/cards/prepaid-card/tnc) and the process outlined below, your membership in the Go Rewards Program will be retained.
To help navigate this change, we have provided detailed instructions below to assist cardholders on how they can continue to enjoy Go Rewards benefits and perks. We will also offer guidance on how you can use up any remaining cash balance in your prepaid account and seamlessly transfer the outstanding Go Rewards points in the Go Rewards account number associated with your prepaid account.
2. What will happen to the Go Rewards account number associated with my Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card?
The Go Rewards account number associated with your Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card will be deactivated and will no longer be valid by January 15, 2024. However, to continue enjoying exclusive deals, benefits, and perks as a member of Go Rewards, you will be assigned an alternative Go Rewards account number following the process below:
a. For Go Rewards Prepaid/Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid account holders with another active Go Rewards account previously merged with their Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card: Your other active Go Rewards card number will be designated as your primary Go Rewards account, and all outstanding Go Rewards points in the Go Rewards account associated with your Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card will be transferred there.
b. For account holders without another active Go Rewards Account previously merged with your Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card: You will be provided with a new Go Rewards Classic Card account, and any outstanding Go Rewards points will be transferred to this new account.
You will receive an email advisory from Go Rewards at your registered email address detailing the actions to be taken for your Go Rewards account.
3. How can I check the remaining cash balance in my Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card?
You can check your balance through the Pay feature in the Go Rewards mobile app, via any Union Bank ATM (for Go Rewards Prepaid physical cards), or by calling UnionBank’s 24-Hour Customer Service Hotline:

4. I still have available cash balance in my Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card. How can I use my remaining balance?
If your prepaid card account still has an available load balance, you can:

Shop and pay using your Go Rewards Prepaid card or Go Rewards Pay (in the Go Rewards App) at any Visa accredited merchant;

Withdraw at any BancNet and or Visa ATM (for Go Rewards Prepaid physical card only). ATM withdrawal fees may apply;

Request to transfer your funds to your existing UBP Savings account by calling UnionBank’s 24-Hour Customer Service team;

Open a deposit account online, get a Go Rewards Debit card, and inform UnionBank’s 24-Hour Customer Service team where your load balance will be transferred to.

5. Can I transfer my remaining cash balance to a different UnionBank account (e.g., Go Rewards Debit card account)?

6. What will happen to any remaining cash balance in my account by January 15, 2024?

8. Can I still use the Pay feature in the Go Rewards mobile app to access my Go Rewards Virtual Prepaid or Go Rewards Prepaid Card before January 15, 2024?
Yes. You can still use the Pay feature in the Go Rewards mobile app to pay for your transactions, merge your card with another Go Rewards account, and earn Go Rewards points until January 15, 2024. After said date, the Pay feature will no longer be available in the Go Rewards mobile app.
9. How can I access the Go Rewards Pay feature in the Go Rewards App?
You may access your Go Rewards Pay account by doing the following:
- Open the Go Rewards app and click More.
- Click Pay Online.
10. Can I still sign-up for Go Rewards Pay?
Unfortunately, Go Rewards Pay is no longer accepting new sign-ups. If you wish to unlock additional rewards with Go Rewards Cobrand Cards, feel free to sign up with the available cards of your choice through this link.
